The Golden Daze® hop is a hardy, spectacular twining climber with lime to gold foliage that remains attractive throughout Spring & Summer and bursts with hop cones in January for picking in March.
It needs a sunny spot to develop its full colour - in part shade it is a lighter green. Towards the end of Summer the leaves turn even more golden and the plant becomes covered in hop cones which can be used for brewing beer, in floral arrangements or therapeutically especially in hop pillows. Use it to cover an arch or pergola, where its self twining habit means it does not need tying up.
A herbaceous perennial climber it will grow on a wide range of soil types and prefers regular watering to look it's best. The Royal Horticultural Society has given it its Award of Garden Merit (AGM).
This cultivar (Golden Daze II) has hop cones and can be used for the brewing of beer.
