FLAVOUR:
Cascade Hops aroma and flavor is best described as American Pale Ale. The aroma of Cascade comes with citrus, sometimes compared to grapefruit. It carries some spiciness and black pepper to it as well. Cascade also registers fairly high in Farnesene presents as a subtle violet floral overtone. It works beautifully as a single hop and a fresh hop beer.
GROWTH / YIELD:
Cascade is a strong grower with large cones and a good yield in it's first year. If you only have space to grow one plant Cascade would be it because it works in all styles of beer and especially Fresh Hop Ale.
HISTORY:
Cascade's parents include UK Fuggle and a Russian variety Serebrianker. Cascade is one of the most important hops in the U.S.A. for making home brews and commercial beers. NZ Hops call their Cascade, Taiheke because "NZ Cascade tastes different to USA Cascade" SEE THE TERROIR OF HOPS
